The present shape of Dubrovnik’s city walls goes back to the 13th century. They were systematically modernised and built until 1660. The last bulwark to be built was St. Stephen on the south side. The walls are 1,940 meters long and consist of the main wall, sixteen towers, three forts, six bulwarks, two angular fortifications, three pre-walls with low turrets, three moats, two barbicans, two drawbridges and one breakwater.

Mljet Lakes are two saltwater lakes located on the Croatian island of Mljet, the Adriatic Sea. The larger lake is called Veliko Jezero and the smaller one is Malo Jezero. The lakes are connected to the sea via a narrow channel, which makes them a unique natural phenomenon. Visitors can swim in the lakes, take a boat ride, or hike around the surrounding area.
